We are pleased to present the official poster of the Ulaanbaatar International Film Festival 2022.

Every year, our film festival chooses one of the best works that have left a clear mark in the history of Mongolian cinema as to be the image of the festival. This year we are proud to pay tribute to the feature film “The Spouse”, filmed in 1975 by the famous director Sumkhuu Badrakh.

“The Spouse”, which will open the “New Horizon” section of the festival, is a story about how the conflict between new and old values impact the family and what it means to be a life companion and a mother. Directed by Sumkhuu Badrakh, “Tuursuur turulduu” (1966), “Motoriin Duu” (1973), “Gobi Khyangand tulaldsan ni” (1981) and many more, touched peoples’ hearts and won prestigious awards at international film festivals.
